The 2013 Great Texas starts on Wednesday, June 12th. This year, we will have our first woman skipper, Ingrid Bakker, who hails from Ultrecht in the Netherlands. She will be teaming up with crew Aaron McCulley.
Getting our first woman skipper has been a true team effort. We put together a fund to encourage woman to participate. We were able to raise $1,600 for this fund. Ki-Hara Resistance Training donated another $500 to the effort and got naming rights to the team.
